PLANT BASED SNACK IDEAS

Eating healthy takes creativity and often we have good intentions to start on a healthy journey but just don’t know where to begin. Here at Naturally Culturred, we are profound snackers!  We were honored when Adda Bloom shared with us some of their plant-based snack ideas. Adda Bloom’s is a Wholefood Health and Wellness Brand focused on “working with small scale farmers, collectives, and cooperatives to preserve and bring indigenous African foods and plants worldwide”

Their snacks are vegan and gluten-free and are super satisfying. Naturally, Culturred sampled…

  1. Baobab Fudge Bites
  2. Chewy Sesame Tignernuts
  3. Baobab Powder

Baobab Fudge Bites

The Baobab Fudge Bites are a great alternative to unnatural sugary foods that aren’t good for us.  These bites are reminiscent of brownies (but much healthier). They’re made with seeds, dried fruit, and African Baobab Powder. What’s best, is after snacking on a few, they naturally help suppress hunger. They’re just as tasty alone as they are with a cup of tea, paired with a smoothie or as a yogurt topping; making them our favorite treat out of the three we tried.

Chewy Sesame Tigernuts

The Sesame Tigernuts with its nutty flavor and granola texture make it a great post/pre-workout treat. The Chewy Tigernuts are vegan friendly and are nut, dairy, and gluten free. Here are some fun facts about Tignernuts that Naturally Culturred learned from Adda Blooms.  Despite their name, “Tigernuts are NOT nuts but are small root vegetables rich in fiber, a great source of protein and iron. They are also good for both heart and gut health.

Baobab Powder

We’re firm believers in juicing as a healthy practice and are always looking for ways to pack our smoothies with dense nutrients. Adda Blooms Baobab Powder is a great smoothie supplement to add to your morning green/ fruit juices.  According to Adda Blooms, Baobab is a powerful fruit a part of the African “Tree of Life”.  This powder is filled with vitamin c, prebiotics for your gut, amino acids, and magnesium. Be sure to add it to your next smoothie by ordering here
